Where's my Water? is a strategy puzzle game created by Disney for the iOS platform. The goal of the game is to help Swampy the Alligator take his shower in the sewer. He is having problems because Cranky the Alligator and his band of miscreants have broken the sewer pipes, so it's up to you to help restore the water!
You do this by funneling water through the ground and into the broken pipe which leads to his shower. For added difficulty, you can try to solve the puzzle as fast as you can, or rescue the buried rubber ducks and collect secret buried items in the dirt. The game's controls are pretty easy: use your finger to excavate dirt into passages that lead to the broken pipes. As the stages advance, you are presented with tougher challenges such as a fungus that begins to absorb your precious water or pollution that contaminates the water. There is one challenge where you have to figure out how to manipulate steam so that it touches ice and converts back to water.
I found that the difficulty curve increases at a steady pace. This means my seven year old daughter can have enough time to grasp the concept of the game in order to tackle the tougher challenges later in the game. Failure in a particular stage isn't very devastating since you can simply restart and the stages aren't elaborate enough to make you feel like you don't want to give it another go.
If you are a fan of puzzle games or are looking for a game to play with your kids, Where's My Water? is a definite winner. Our whole family got into the act, trying to best each other's scores and determine the champion of the house.
